Grant Writing Workshop - June 10th, 2026
Applying for a grant soon? Please join K-State Extension in Doniphan County and Doniphan County Economic Development on Wednesday, June 10th to attend this Grant Writing Workshop from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Please register by contacting the Doniphan County Extension Office by June 3rd and a $60 registration fee is due per person. This program will be located at the Troy Library,105 North Main Street, Troy, KS 66087. This program will be taught by Nancy Daniels, K-State Extension Community Vitality Specialist, and you will learn:
- Sources of data for community needs.
- Where to find grants
- Elements of great grant proposals, and more!

Doniphan Garden Talk Series
Spring into the Garden - March 26th, 2026
Please join K-State Extension in Doniphan County on Thursday, March 26th at 2:00 PM at the Wathena Community Building, for an educational meeting titled: Spring into the Garden. Featured speakers include, the Kansas Forest Service, K-State Extension, and Doniphan Extension Master Gardeners. The first 12 people who RSVP and attend, will receive a free bare-root Eastern Redbud tree. Please RSVP by March 25th to kgsharp@ksu.edu.

Grain Marketing Workshop - February 17th, 2026
Please join K-State Extension Doniphan and Brown Counties which will be hosting a Grain Marketing Workshop starting at 10:00 AM on February 17th at the HCC Clifford W. Hawk Ag Building (Highland, KS). Dr. Daniel O'Brien with Kansas State University will be leading a workshop including 2026 Crop Breakeven costs in Northeast Kansas, market outlook for 2026, local basis trends, and marketing strategies for 2025 stored vs 2026 new crops. Crop Diseases, Weeds, and Lunch - January 22nd, 2026
Come listen to Extension Specialists, Drs. Sarah Lancaster and Tina Sullivan present on current disease and weed updates in crops. Crop producers are encouraged to attend and a lunch will follow. Integrated Pest Management in Hay and Pasture - December 8th, 2025
Please join us on Monday, December 8th for an informational meeting on pasture and hay pest management. Dr. Tina Sullivan, K-State Extension Area Agronomist will be presenting on "Integrated Pest Management for Hay and Pasture" starting at 6:00 pm.
